Fantastic place with really friendly hotel staff. Our venue rooms were neat and functional, with 2 double beds. Convenient location close to everything. The attached restaurant on the premises. Good home base for exploring Ellsworth.

I recently stayed at Colonial Inn in Ellsworth for a weekend getaway with my family. The staff that greeted us was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The lobby had a welcoming atmosphere, and we enjoyed swimming in the pool despite the temperature being a bit warm. The outside area was lovely, and the hotel's proximity to Acadia National Park was perfect for exploring. The staff even gave our dog a treat and were helpful with recommending local restaurants. it was a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

The property's location was mind-blowing, with easy access to stores and just a 30-minute drive to Acadia national park. The motel itself was super nice, offering a decent stay without any high expectations. The grab and go breakfast was a pleasant surprise. We slept comfortably in our spacious room with a parquet floor and a convenient sliding door. The staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing us to change rooms. The room had great amenities like a good-sized mini fridge with a small freezer and a microwave. The bathroom setup was a bit tiny, but the overall cleanliness was top-notch. The motel's location was a steal, offering a bargain price for its proximity to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia. The communal porch and nearby wooded area were perfect for pet owners, and the motel's pet-friendly policy with a fair fee of $10 per night was a huge plus. The room, though small, was clean and recently updated, with a nice mini fridge and an ice tray in the freezer. The beds were a bit firm, but the storm door allowed in plenty of light and fresh air. The property was well-maintained, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. We were surprised with a special honeymoon surprise in our room, including roses, a heart made of towels, and a congratulations card. This level of hospitality was truly jaw-dropping and made us feel incredibly welcomed.

Spacious room with a king bed even though we booked a queen room. The room had a fridge and even a small kitchen area, which was super handy. 🍳 Great spot, with lots of bars and restaurants just a stone's throw away.

Its location at a medium distance from Hulls Cove Visitor Center was convenient and exceptionally nice. By the way, parks and a national park were next to the place.
